Hey, friends! I am so honored that my sweet friend, Terri, reached out to give me the opportunity to share with you MY ‘Top 5 Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner”! Now, I MAY be a bit biased – I AM a wedding planner, you know – but I can most definitely guarantee that if you are an engaged couple and decide to invest in an experienced and creative wedding planner and/or coordinator, you will NOT regret it! There are SO many reasons I could share with you, today – but I’m going to try to tackle the 5 MOST important ones. Let’s GO!

Planning a wedding can cause some tension in the relationships amongst you and your family and friends in way more ways than one. There are going to be plenty of people with opinions on how you should execute your wedding in order for it to be “perfect”. If your desires don’t align with their – this could become an issue. This is where we come into play! Wedding planners are master when it comes to familial relationships and mediation techniques. Since we are not emotionally connected with anyone involved, we tend to be able to see things more clearly and are experienced in handling family ties with care. We will tackle these issues (with your best interest at heart) so that neither side leaves with bitterness nor grudges formed. We can help others see logic without retribution, while you are able to escape unscathed in the process. And if someone wants to point the finger, we can be the targets for that, too! Honestly, it takes a LOT to plan a wedding day from the ground up! There are so many vendors to book and manage, colors and fabrics to choose, family to keep up with, payments to make, etc.. Planners make it their JOB to assist you with ALL of that in order to take the load off of you so that this process is pleasant – not traumatizing! We allow you to focus on choosing the details that are truly unique to the both of you and then take that vision, plan and execute it while you are able to enjoy being in the moment of such an exciting and meaningful time in your lives! We do everything from scheduling appointments, setting reminders, setting action items, and following along with you as we BOTH complete them together. Once your wedding day has arrived, you are able to ENJOY while we carry your vision out exactly the way you desire.

We have connections. Period. Even in the 3 years I have been in business, I have formed so many awesome working relationships with some pretty amazing vendors who truly have my clients’ best interests at heart! While I don’t accept commissions for referring other vendors, we do have the relationships to be able to negotiate what works and what doesn’t, cutting down on unnecessary costs that my clients would have never thought about! We also know a good variety of vendors that work for a combination of budgets. I do make it a job of mine to stay on top of the industry and the professionals in my area in order to get the best value for my clients and keep their budget in tow.

We run things on your wedding day. You are totally able to be the bride and the groom. We delegate, we setup, we breakdown, we do are there every step of the way. We wear SO many hats and execute all of them exceptionally well. We ensure that we are in contact with all of your wedding day vendors to ensure that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there and are ready to make on-the-spot decisions when unexpected situations arise. I try to make it a point NOT to contact the couple for ANYTHING on the day of their wedding! We appoint 2 members from both sides of the family to assist with anything that may come up that we may need assistance with. I bring assistants so that we can be handling a variety of things at one time. We literally make sure that your day goes off without a hitch and that you are in total married bliss the entire time. YES!

Now are you convinced that you need a wedding planner? If not – just TRUST me on this! I’m not sharing this with you to gain your business. I’m sharing this with you because I, once, was a bride myself. I was a meticulous planner and even I got stressed more than once. I wish I would have been able to enjoy the process more, but was not because I was so consumed with ideas, colors, designs, sparkly costly objects to the point where I became stressed out! I was not even able to enjoy it! And let’s not discuss the actual DAY of the wedding (my wedding planner bailed on me – YIKES!). It’s not a marketing ploy.
