Last year I put a great deal of investment into my branding. This year, I wanted to invest in my photography skills.  Every year I take classes and workshops, but this year I want to train with some of the photographers that I admire.  The ones that I secretly stalk to see how they make their choices when it comes to shooting, editing and business decisions.

This week, I am blessed to have an opportunity to be mentored by two of my many favorites: Ike & Tash and Katelyn James.  Today, I will spend the day with Ike& Tash Photography + Motion.  They are a husband and wife team that are based in Tacoma, Washington.  I love how their photos come alive, how I feel like I know them when clearly I have never met them and how positive they are about the photography industry!  When they announced they were coming to the DC area and would host a workshop I went back and forth about the time away from work, the money it would cost and the changes I would need to make once they critiqued my work.  I prayed about it and submitted a vacation day from work.  When it was approved I knew that I was the only one standing in my way!  Here we go!!!!  I will have a follow-up post after my mentorship…so excited!
