The ultimately ended up at the Columbus Museum of Art for their wedding but he started his wedding day by playing basketball with his groomsmen at Columbus State University.  She started her wedding day by going for a swim in the rooftop pool of the Renaissance Columbus Hotel. This was the epitome of relaxation as they did some of the things they enjoyed separately before beginning their preparation to become husband and wife.  This day has to go down as one of the most unpredictable weather days of any wedding that I’ve ever shot but it was almost as if Mother Nature knew exactly when to give us a reprieve.  That perfect moment came following the ceremony just in time for portraits!

There is something amazing about portraits that are taken outside.  It allows everyone to relax just a little right after the ceremony and truly be who they are, whomever that may be! For this wedding party and family it meant having a little fun!

Brian and Victoria opted not to see each other before the ceremony and that was just fine because they allowed plenty of time in their day for their intimate moments to be captured as husband and wife.  Their Columbus Museum of Art was one for the record books and despite the torrential downpour the museums glass ceiling gave the perfect compliment of nature light while keeping everyone dry.  The bridal party made their dramatic entrances from behind the museums Crimson curtain and down the white carpet to a crowd of over 200 guests.  As Victoria made her entrance it was almost as if time stood still for a moment and once Brian paused to absorb her beauty the tears began to flow!  Their ceremony was a family affair as Brian’s aunt officiated and the couples siblings and close relatives stood by their sides.  After the ceremony, their guests were entertained with a caricature artist and photo booth to capture their own memories.  I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how the new Mr. and Mrs. Burns carried their “Passport to Romance” theme completely through to the wedding day with their travel-themed engagement session, their passport save-the-dates and invitations and even a globe at the reception as their guest book.

Brian and Victoria, it was an absolute honor to travel to Columbus, OH to document your celebration of love!  Thank you!  Here are a few of my favorite images! xoxo
