If you would have asked me a year ago if a major local magazine would be contacting me to share my advice on Engagement Sessions in Washington, DC, I would have said “Ummm, yeah right!” Like seriously, I don’t know how I was worthy enough for this honor but I am so freaking elated!!!!  Friends, I have been featured in the Fall 2016 issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom Magazine sharing tips to take “Better Engagement Photos at the Monuments”!!!  In full transparency, I have a vision board for 2016 and to be in Washingtonian Bride & Groom has been on their for some time.  I have submitted to them a number of times in hopes of being accepted in print. I’ve been accepted for their online blog however, I haven’t been accepted for print…I’ve been close a few times but it just didn’t happen…until now!

I used this as a learning experience that often times rejection may come and it will, but it’s not for a lack of effort or talent, but maybe the timing just isn’t right.  Running a business gets tough sometimes.  There’s a lot to manage and I want to be present for my clients, but still find time to grow the business.  This was the mid-year push that I needed to go the extra mile for e try client that I have this year.  I mean, I plan to give them my best anyway, but it’s nice to feel a sense of accomplishment when I’ve been hustling away at this thing!!!

This post isn’t to brag but it is to prove that staying positive and focused will help you achieve long term goals!
