It’s an amazing feeling when someone shares my name with one of their contacts that’s looking for a wedding photographer. That’s just how I met Kori! She was sent my way from one of my 2014 couples – Ben and Leah– and I was completely honored to be the one to capture their Gloucester, VA wedding on the water. When I walked up to view the wedding preparation underway, Kori called my name as she relaxed on the second level deck of their friend’s beautiful estate. Kori was so calm and relaxed and actually spent time chatting with Kirk from the balcony as he also relaxed before the festivities began.
The two big white tents for the ceremony and reception were decorated so beautifully with coral and white florals from a local favorite- Four Seasons Flowers & Gifts- and the stage was set for live music from the Honky Tonk Heros. Each of their families were finishing up last minute preparations for this special day! The weather was kind to Kirk and Kori and in fact, their day went off without a hitch!
Kori didn’t make a huge fuss over tons of wedding details as she had her dress, garter and rings and she felt that was just enough as she began to prepare for her walk down the aisle. It wasn’t until she put on her dress that the nerves began to show themselves and rightfully so! This moment was becoming so real! At the end of the night, Kirk and Kori exited thru their sparkler tunnel and hopped into the limo to head out and honeymoon in Cancun the following day!
Kirk and Kori, thank you for allowing me to document your day and I wish you many years of blessings and happiness!
