I first met her at the stylish Hotel Monaco where we talked about her and Reynold and their 2017 wedding.  From chatting for an hour, I knew that she was an ideal client!  She knew she wanted a nice event, but wasn’t caught uo in repeating every wedding that she’s seen thus far!  For their engagement session, Sheavan and Reynold also went in a different direction but incorporating their own style for their Meridian Hill Park and MLK Memorial engagement photos!  For their second look, the couple wore shirts from Reynold’s sister’s apparel company- HGC Apparel.

Sheavan and Reynold have  been best friends since the 7th grade. She always knew he had a little crush on her, but she was never interested in anything more, then life sort of pushed the two together and changed Sheavan’s view on what her “perfect” guy was. She eventually realized that he was her perfect guy and they started dating a little over 3 years ago.

September 23rd was Sheavan’s 30th birthday and the pair had dinner at STK in Washington, D.C. At the end of dinner the DJ stopped playing the upbeat music he had been playing all night and all of a sudden Jagged Edge “Lets Married” came on, which she thought was completely weird. Reynold asked Sheavan to get up and take a picture in order to distract her and he got down on one knee and proposed in the restaurant!

Sheavan likes to think that their relationship was destined and this has really been 19 years in the making.  On the wedding day, she is really just looking forward to being able to share their journey and their love with our closest family and friends. Reynold is looking forward to the food!
