When I walk into my dentist’s office he has a sign up near the front window that says “The biggest compliment that you could give us is a referral to your friends”.  This never meant much to me as I like my dentist but I have never had anyone ask me for a referral to him.  Fast forward to my venture into photography, I now understand the importance of a referral.  I used to beg my friends to let me take photos of them.  However, I am now blessed t stay pretty busy.  Early on in my photography career, Dwan was supportive and let me carry out a few of my visions using her daughters.  Today, they are repeat clients which means so much to me.  They’ve seen my growth, they follow my blog, Instagram and Facebook pages and they also send me referrals!!!  The past few months have been extremely busy and I had planned to take the entire month of December off, besides my last wedding later this month, but when Dwan asked me to take her family’s photos I knew that I had to find time.  Dwan actually found our location for this year and I have fallen in love with this hidden gem, so I will be returning! After our photo session, we headed straight to a Christmas Party only to find out our friends were throwing a surprise party for us!  Both Dwan and I celebrate our birthdays in January, so to throw us completely off track, our friends secretly planned this event.  Everyone knew except us, including Dwan’s husband and daughters!  We have very sneaky friends!  On that note, here are a few of my favorite photos from their session!
