Getting Ready

What is it about September that is so magical? Is it the striking sunset, the perfect nights, or is it Vance & Jenee’s Romantic Wedding at The Wharf? I’m going to vote Vance and Jene day. I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding day.

My team and I arrived at The Wharf Intercontinental. A beautifully soft and romantic bridal boudoir scene had been curated by Masterplan Events. I couldn’t stop clicking away at my Nikon because of how breathtakingly inspiring the scene was!

Vance and his party were relaxed in his hotel suite. The groom’s side of things is usually a lot more laid back, but even with a cool demeanor, he was excited to finally make Jene his wife. The groomsmen headed to the pool where we grabbed some great poolside panoramic photos with DC’s familiar skyline.

The First Look

The first look was emotional. We parted our way through the crowd to set Vance into position to see his soon-to-be bride for the first time on their wedding day. The anticipation was all over Vance’s face and Jene couldn’t walk fast enough! The first look was perfect and the photos captured every bit of their love.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held at Martins Crosswinds. Jene and Vance recited their nuptials to each other surrounded by their closest family and friends.

The Reception

The reception was set up beautifully and Jene gasped when the room was revealed to her. Vance guided his wife from one jaw-dropping part of the reception room to another. I love catching the moments of surprise when the couple sees their reception area for the first time.

The reception went on continued through the night with tears, laughter, and dancing. This is a wedding that you definitely would have wanted to RSVP to! I had a blast!
