Happy Monday beautiful people! This weekend was sort of a rare weekend off….although I still managed to find myself behind the camera! lol. Lately, I’ve had weddings almost every weekend and as I am nearing the end of my wedding season I am beginning to realize that I am going to miss the hustle and bustle of a wedding day but the break will be a much needed one as I begin to prepare for 2016.
As always, here’s a recap of the past few days:
– I realize that when I go non-stop, my body has a way of forcing me to slow down. The craziest thing happened to me a few nights ago. As I was walking up the stairs (yes, UP) to my bedroom I slipped and fell and hit my head. I was unable to brace my fall because I had my MacBook in one hand and my phone in the other. As a result, I found out the next day that I has suffered a mild concussion. Geeeez! So the combination of the pain and the medication left me in the bed for a day and a half. I am learning the hard way to slow down!
– The one event that put me behind the camera this weekend actually involved helping another industry professional! I met Neakai (Events by Neakai) through our professional wedding collective- Munaluchi Coterie– and she was in town from New York to plan a dinner party for author Byron Garrett. Neakai asked me to grab a few photos of the table decor and it was absolutely beautiful! A few of the photos are below!
– Lastly, Sunday allowed for a day of church and much needed rest! The other thing that I have been having luck with is preparing meals for the week on Sunday evening. It’s a busy time around here with wrapping up wedding season, so the time that I am saving in the kitchen has been beneficial in the evenings.
Cheers to a great week!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the color combination!!
