Photography is how I creatively express my clients’ love story…Your wedding day is a chance to authentically document your “Day One” as husband and wife and create images that may be cherished for years to come.  I want photos that I have taken to be a still memory of how the couple felt at that moment in time.  Whether it be a laugh, a smile, a cry or moment of nervousness as the bride begins her slow walk down the aisle to meet her handsome groom- I want those memories to be relived each time you look at your photos.

I desire a connection with my couples that allows them to relax in front of my camera.  I desire a connection that says “enough with putting on airs” this is who we are and we make no apologies for it.  I want the type of connection that makes my clients prophetically declare that 20 years from now, they will still cherish their images.

For the past year, I have been continuing my photography education and during this journey I have been trying to capture the essence of why I became a wedding photographer and why I put so much passion into documenting a time such as this for my couples.  It’s not something that came to me overnight. It actually was something that I have loved and known for a while but was unable to clearly articulate it because I had never wrote it down.  I knew that the connections I hoped to make with my clients were based on everything written above but had you asked me a year ago I wouldn’t have been able to form a cohesive thought that could explain it.  I know now why I became a wedding photographer.  I know why I make the decisions that I make in my business. I know why I love to hear how my clients met and I love to hear my brides talk about their wedding plans because that in essence is their start of “Day One” as husband and wife!

My parents set a foundation of love, trust and support in my life and I look at my couples and pray that their love experiences the longevity that my parents’ love has experienced.  I know that if there is some way that I can help with that through their imagery then I plan to do so!  So when asked, why did I become a wedding photographer it’s because of all of the reasons above.  Cheers!
