Anytime I receive a client’s wedding album in the mail I visually inspect it and ensuring that it meets my standards of quality.  When I received Jered and Brittani’s wedding album I was reminded of some of the many reasons that I love wedding albums.  So today, I decided to share some of the reasons I love wedding albums in hopes that it will help any brides and grooms out there that are contemplating getting one.

1) It’s A Visual Reminder of Your Wedding Day.

I give the high resolution files to my wedding clients, so that’s not a decision they will have to make, but having only the files does not truly complete the wedding experience, in my opinion.  I’ve met couples that decide to save up and purchase an album at a later date and that’s great! There are some pretty decent consumer albums available, so I wouldn’t expect someone to spends hundreds of dollars if it didn’t make sense for their budget.

One of the things that I’ve found myself doing when I’m at someone’s house is looking at their albums or their framed photos if they are out and I love hearing the story behind the photos.  Even a canvas or framed print has a story on why it was chosen and I love listening to a client or friend share what was happening the moment before or right after the photo was taken.

2) It Doesn’t Require Technology to Use It.

I deliver my wedding images thru an online photo sharing gallery, which is a faster way for a couple to share their images with their family and friends.  I have also been delivering final images to clients on a USB drive, but what happens when the technology changes or if Facebook were to go away?  How would close friends be able to view those images? I love that quality albums can withstand the test of time regardless of what changes with technology!

3) It Can Become a Family Heirloom.

I have a friend whose husband shares their wedding album almost every time we are at their home.  It has become a running joke that we know about 30 minutes into our visit that he will find a reason to pull it off of the shelf!  It’s actually cute because it shows me that their wedding day was important to them and he enjoys reliving the day through their wedding photos.

The Heirloom Wedding Album is one that can be passed along to  your children as a reminder of “Day One” of your lives together.  It’s evident that we will grow old, but the photos in the album will remain that stamp in time of all of the planning that went into your wedding day!

Because I love my Heirloom Wedding Albums and other print products such as canvases and framed prints, I have added print credits to my 2015 Wedding Packages!  If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please ask me about my packages and the print credits that I will be offering!
