Have you ever noticed a couple that happened to be complete strangers look so cute together that you wanted to take their photo? No, oh well, I have! While I was in Los Angeles and wrapping up a photo session at the Urban Lights exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) I noticed a young couple just hanging out and chatting. Unbeknownst to them I watched their interaction for a few minutes….not in like a stalker/creeper kind of way, but I was intrigued and wanted to meet them. I pointed them out to my friend Lisa and said “Would I look crazy if I walked over and asked to take their photo?”. Lisa, being the awesome and always encouraging friend that she is said “Heck no, let’s go over there”. I haven’t seen Lisa in about 5 years and I forgot that she was always my number 1 cheerleader when I lived in Los Angeles. It was just like old times, she saw that I had an idea and she wanted to see it thru!
We made our way over to the couple and I think Lisa’s excitement allowed her to beat me to the couple and say “my friend is a photographer, can she take your photos”..lol. I introduced myself and told them how cute they were and if they minded if I took a few photos of them. Come to find out Marilyn and Andrew were on their THIRD date! I would have never guessed and in getting to know a little about them, Andrew has cooked dinner for Marilyn and Marilyn already knows that she wants a 1 carat diamond from Tiffany & Co. I have never had so much fun talking to complete strangers and ultimately taking their photos! I gave Marilyn my card and she found me on social media and to show you how small the world is, I moved from Los Angeles to Virginia (DMV) a few years ago and she just moved from the DMV to Los Angeles!
Marilyn and Andrew, I hope you have had many more dates since our encounter and I wish you two the best! Andrew, I hope Marilyn has finally cooked dinner for you as well! Here are some of their photos:
Cute idea, Terri!
We’re going on 3 years now. Thanks so much Terri!
