I’ve known Porsha since I was younger from my after school days at the YMCA. She recently married the love of her life and I couldn’t have been happier for her because I knew that she waited ever so patiently for that moment to happen. I love the way love looks on people and Porsha was no exception. When she contacted me about possibly taking some holiday photos of her and Eric, I had already decided that I would be taking some time off during the holidays to relax and simply do nothing if I choose because I needed some days to recharge, but I decided to make an exception. Eric and Porsha love the finer things in life and love documenting their journey as newlyweds, so I knew their holiday session would be fabulous. We decided to take some of the photos around the Proximity Hotel since they’d just married there this past September. I love how modern the hotel is an hope to shoot a wedding here one day, so I was pretty excited when I showed up to view the inside. When I realized that the hotel had very minimal decorations, I let Porsha know and we decided to take a few photos at the historic Biltmore Hotel, which is one of the oldest hotels in Greensboro, NC and has North Carolina’s first working elevator.
Below are a few images from our session! If you are someone you know were engaged recently, I’d love to hear from you and see if we can create a custom session that showcases your love story! In addition to Virginia, D.C., and Maryland, my 2015 location wish list is here.
