The hallway at work…how simple is that?!? That’s where Teranse and Mimi met! Teranse was walking down the back hall at their office when a beautiful woman said “Good Morning!” and he responded “Hi”! Teranse knew at that moment that he should have said “Good morning beautiful!”, but alas, it was too late.
Over the next several months Teranse and Mimi said “Hi” a few more times and developed an office friendship that included long conversations, lunches and a bit of flirting…on both sides! On several occasions Teranse drummed up the nerve to ask if Mimi would like to attend a few events at the Kennedy Center, to which she replied “I think I have to wash my hair”. After two and a half years of dating and with the “Kennedy Center Rejections” still fresh in his mind, hispersistence continued and Teranse asked Mimi to be available on April 10, 2015. He planned a surprise romantic evening of dinner and their first concert at the Kennedy Center!!! She had no idea about the concert, dinner or the surprise to follow. After the concert he told her that one of his favorite spots in all of DC was the rooftop of the Kennedy Center and I took Mimi upstairs to a spectacular view. As she turned her back and took in the magnificent view and the warm spring breeze, Teranse got down on one knee, pulled out the ring and waited for her to turn around. Once she turned around he told her that while this was a nice view, it was not the only reason they had come upstairs. Of course, she said yes!!!
I asked them what they were most looking forward to on the wedding day and Teranse said “I would honestly have to say that on the wedding day I am most looking forward to finally getting my “Bling” ring, having at least three slices of wedding cake…… and oh yeah marrying my beautiful bride!!” LOL
Check out a few images from their Union Station and Noma Engagement session!
Teranse and Mimi, I am excited to see you too soon for the BIG day!!
