A Morais Vineyards and Winery Wedding | Stathios + Nathalie

We met in a coffee shop in Washington, DC last November. This is where I was able to hear Nathalie’s plans for her summer wedding at Morais Vineyards and Winery. Gah!!! I remembered how gorgeous the venue was from a wedding I shot there last year and I am always excited to re-visit gorgeous venues. As I caught a glimpse of Nathalie’s amazing engagement ring, I asked her about the proposal…How did it happen? Were you surprised? What did he say? Nathalie began to describe the scene. Her and Stathios were hiking up a mountain in Machu Picchu where Stathios dropped to one knee and popped the question….he proposed in Peru, y’all!!! How exciting was that?!?!

As Nathalie continue to share her wedding day plans, I knew their day would be just as beautiful as their proposal story and I was completely right! From Stathios custom suiting with their wedding date embroidered on the inside collar to his wedding gift to Nathalie- a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes! Everything about their wedding came together with perfection. Nathalie’s bridesmaids were brought to tears when she did a first reveal of her in her wedding gown and they continued to cry throughout out the ceremony. Their best friend was getting married to the love of her life and they were all so happy for her!

Nathalie and Stathios had relatives from all over the world at their celebration and to be sure their nuptials were heard by all, their officiant performed them in both English and Spanish. The couple created a blended wine to symbolize the merger of their lives and their reception was one big party complete with a tribute to the family’s Greek heritage. At the end of the night, Nathalie and Stathios had a white balloon send off from their well wishes. For their Honeymoon, the couple enjoyed a European tour which included stops in Greece, Italy and Rome!

Stathios and Nathalie, congratulations again and I wish you many, many wonderful years of wedded bliss!
