I’ve mentioned it before but my dad is a photographer and started back in the day when film was the only option for professional photographers. Its been fun showing him some of the things that digital cameras can do, but I have always had a desire to learn to shoot film. With digital cameras, you still need to understand light, but the camera takes a lot of the guess work out of it when determining the correct exposure triangle. Since I mentioned to him that I wanted to learn film, he dug out his old manual focus Mamiya 645 and sent it to me along with 3 lenses. I am excited and intimidated at the same time but I can’t wait to get started on my journey of learning to shoot film. I will use my blog to hopefully document my progress along the way! In the meantime, here are some shots of my film camera using my digital camera! 🙂
