It’s hard to believe that we are already into June.  Times seems to fly faster and faster these days before you know it the holidays will be here…and that’s not such a bad thing for my neighbors that still have their Christmas lights up!!! So since we are already halfway thru the year, I thought I would pause to see what progress I have made with photography.  Here are some of the things that’s happened in these first few month:

– I designed and worked my first Bridal Show for the “Weddings by Wingate” Bridal Show

– I updated my home office so now it looks like a normal person works here. I’ve also added more of my work to the walls!

– I’ve been featured on several blogs: Capitol Romance (Twice), Trendy Bride, Every Last Detail, and Pretty Brass Tacks!

– I’ve been notified that I have more features being published in the 2nd part of the year: United with Love, Savvy Deets, Pandora Brown and Done Brilliantly!

– I mentored two ladies (Aracelis and Jessica) who are interested in learning more about photography.

– I was selected as a featured wedding vendor for Stevenson Ridge, a wedding venue in Spotsylvania Virginia.

– I planned and organized a styled wedding shoot for 12 photographers from all over Virginia and DC. Whew!

– I launched my Bridal Lounge for brides-to-be to learn as much as they can about the TBP wedding experience.

Wow, I think it’s important to write down goals and “wins” as I call them so that I can see which areas are growing for me and where I need to do more work.  With that, here are some of the goals that I have for the remainder of the year:

– I am meeting with Katelyn James for a One-on-One coaching session.

– I am having a 1-Day Mentorship with Ike & Tash to improve my technical and business skills

– I will be participating in my second bridal show with a revamped booth!

– I am traveling to my 1st weekend long photography conference to spend time with other industry titans!

And in between all of this I will still shoot a few weddings, engagements and lifestyle sessions.

*The one thing I would love to do is photograph a surprise engagement session!  I figure if I put it out into the universe the right guy may see this as he is planning to pop the question to his girlfriend!
