Nothing to Wear {Virginia Boudoir Photographer}

Often times when ladies are preparing for a Private Party (Boudoir) session they ask me what they should wear. The Private Party session is one of the sessions where the client is in control. With any session clients are free to bring ideas of how they would like to pose but for the most part I help pose them or just go for a natural look. With a Private Party session I need my client to feel comfortable so the session runs smoothly. When it comes to what the client should wear, I tell them to choose outfits that make them feel comfortable and beautiful and something they will wear again. The worst thing someone can do is buy an outfit because they think that’s what they should purchase and they not really like it because that will show in the photos. If you feel beautiful in a nice, silk nightgown then don’t bring a g-string to the session. I like for my clients to feel more glamorous than raunchy because raunchy is not my style. I have had clients come in extremely nervous but walk away with so much confidence that they showed some of the photos to their friends. It’s not that they lack confidence to begin with, I actually think it takes a degree of confidence to sign up for a Private Party session. The nervousness usually comes from this being a new experience and thus the reason why they should wear the articles of clothing that makes them feel the most beautiful! I hope that helps!
