Wow, I don’t know where to begin with these two!  I recently traveled to Philadelphia to meet and shoot engagement photos for David and Veronica at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  I met them through one one my 2014 couples- Keith and Ashley– and they are just as nice, just as accomplished and just as in love! I think we laughed just as much as we shot images and for me that’s the connection that I look for and love with my couples.  I love it when my work connects with a past client and they are willing to share my name with a friend of theirs and this year i’ve been blessed to have most of my 2015 couples come by way of referral.

David and Veronica met at a party and after a quick confirmation that she wasn’t taken from a friend of David’s, he knew it would be okay to move in for a friendly introduction. He did just that and through dates, school, and careers these two are preparing their lives for marriage really soon! I’m looking forward to returning to Philadelphia next month for their wedding. David is an Engineering professor at Villanova University and Veronica is into Fashion Design and the gorgeous face behind Veronica Marche Illustration & Design.

For their engagement session, the couple decided to incorporate their wedding colors of Sunflower yellow and Midnight blue into Veronica’s dress for their first outfit while David choose a dapper look with suspenders.  For their more casual outfit, they chose to wear what they were most comfortable in on any given weekend and Veronica added a pair of custom Nike’s with a small “I Do” plate on her shoelaces. They were the perfect example of being comfortable in their own skin and wearing the type of outfits that speak to who they are as individuals.

After their session, we went for dinner at Hickory Lane American Bistro and OMG..it’s one of those places that you might just walk past on the way to somewhere else, but as much as I love food, this place did not disappoint in the least!  We chatted about a little bit everything with Scandal and Beyonce being a great common ground for Veronica and myself! Veronica is a Beyonce super fan and she told me to expect to hear plenty of her on the playlist while I capture some of the latest dances her and her bridesmaids would be doing at the reception!
