Recently, I attended a bridal show at Stevenson Ridge. SR is a beautiful wedding venue in Spotsylvania, Virginia.  It’s landscape is amazing and the venue is well-kept with a historic feel.  It’s a perfect place for the bride that doesn’t want the hustle and bustle of the city, but still wants to add elegant touches to her special day.

During the bridal show, I ran into my old personal trainer, Franklin.  I jokingly asked if he was getting married and he responded “well….”.  I didn’t think anything of it because his wife was standing beside him as we talked.  Fast forward to a week or two later when my phone rings.  It was Elizabeth, Franklin’s daughter calling.  She told me that her parents were coming up on their 28th wedding anniversary, but their marriage license had never been filed, so legally they weren’t married.  Wow!!!  She said they decided to have a small ceremony and asked me to take pictures.  “Of course!” was my response and then it made sense!  That “well….”, must have meant the wedding bug must have bitten them during the bridal show!!  If you know the Timms’ then you know the entire family is nice, down-to-earth, and a pleasure to be around.  This intimate ceremony was held inside the Riddick House on the Stevenson Ridge property.  Here are a few of my favorite photos!
