Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Day Timeline

Wedding Wednesday

Today, I wanted to dedicate this post to brides-to-be and their wedding planning:

It’s important to cover your Wedding Day Timeline with your photographer a few weeks prior to your big day.  This ensures that everyone is on the same page with regards to the flow of the day.  When a timeline is in place, it gives your wedding coordinator a guideline to ensure everything is flowing smoothly.  A timeline also prevents numerous people from having to ask you questions repeatedly throughout the day, thereby minimizing the stress that you may feel.

Here are just a few pieces of information that I ask my brides for:

– Where are you getting dressed/where is the groom getting dressed?

– Will you and you groom be doing a “first look” (a blog post about this will come next week)?

– Who is your Wedding Coordinator/Point of Contact for the day?

– Will the bridal party be at your prep location?

– How much time has been allocated for photos following the ceremony?

– How far is the reception venue from the ceremony (if they are in different locations)?

Once a bride has spent time answering these questions it allows her to focus on other aspects of her day, as well as gives her an opportunity to ask me ask questions that she may have once she has had time to think about these questions.

Enjoy your day!  – tb
