As another busy weekend ends, I am reminded of how much I value the people in my life, the friendships that I’ve made and this stage of my life.  I decided that I really wanted to connect with people more because I feel bad when people start of any text message, email or phone call with “I know you’re busy…”.  With that, here is a quick recap of some of my weekend activities:

– I made a quick trip to North Carolina to visit a good friend Friday after work and returned back to Virginia early Saturday morning to meet Ashley Peterson in order to second shoot a wedding with her. All in all I drove about 400 miles in 24 hours and it was totally okay because of what I said in the aforementioned paragraph.

– Saturday’s wedding was beautiful and the details were amazing!  It was held at the Hotel Monoco in Alexandria, VA and I love every Kimpton Hotel that I’ve worked in thus far! I hope to shoot at more of these boutique hotels because the decor is amazing and the staff was outstanding…oh and the food…it was delicious!

– Sunday, I made the drive to Beltsville to check out the wedding venue for one of next month’s bride and it made me realize that wedding season is nearing its end and it’s been an exciting and fulfilling year to say the least!  I’m already thinking about my 2014 Wedding Recap post!

– On my way home from Beltsville, I stopped by my friend Britney Jeanine’s house and chatted with her a bit.  I also finally found time to pick up my Tory Burch shades that I left at her place the last time I visited, which was ages ago!  She’s preparing to head to the Blink Conference and I chatted with her about the amazing time I had last year. She is also prepping for the official launch of Ohsnizap– an online resource for photographers!
