This weekend marks the ending of my 2014 wedding season and one of my biggest photography challenges…my sweet photographer friend, Riette, married the love of her life!  It was an awesome day and I am excited to share more on the blog soon.  As always, here is a recap of other happenings from the weekend:

– I went to Smokey Bones BBQ on Friday and ordered an Angus beef burger medium well.  In complete transparency, I do not eat alot of red meat, so I figured I would order a premium beef in the hopes of enjoying it.  As I ate it, I realized that I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would.  I think I needed a burger with more fat or something but at any rate, it was a lesson learned and that’s not a knock against the restaurant, but more to my lack of burger knowledge.

– Saturday after Riette and Chris’s wedding, I had a craving for some Bang Bang shrimp from Bonefish Grill and as always it didn’t disappoint…calories and all!

– I followed along on Instagram as some of my photographer friends attended the Blink Conference and I decided that I am attending in 2015!  I went last year and had an awesome time, but this year I attended United in Santa Barbara, so I didn’t attend Blink.  I realize that each year I need to plan what workshops and conferences I will attend, so that I am making sure I am growing in my areas of focus- weddings, engagements and anniversaries. Along with attending Blink in 2015, I plan to attend a couple of other workshops that I’ll share when I share my goals for 2015.
