So, another weekend has come and gone and it’s beginning to look alot like Christmas!  Every store seems to have been flooded with holiday decor since early October and I just didn’t want to accept it at the time….”Too Soon” I remember telling someone!  Well, we are now less than 2 weeks from Thanksgiving so the holiday madness is about to be in full swing.  I wish it wasn’t that way, but it is what it is, I guess.  Speaking of Christmas and the holidays, I jokingly tried to convince a friend to go out Black Friday shopping to which I was quickly denied and I was slightly offended.  Not because I want to go out in the herds of people and get frustrated at the crowds because I actually have zero intention of doing so, but because said friend didn’t even allow me to make an argument on why it would be necessary to leave our respective homes in the first place!  Just like last year- I will figure out what camera supply companies will be having ONLINE sales and will make my purchases in my PJ’s from my bed.

At any rate, here is a recap of some of my weekend activities:

– I shot a mini-photo session for a couple that won a raffle during the Delta Sigma Theta Red & White Ball.  You can view one of the photos at the end of this post.

– While I don’t know that I will raffle off general photo sessions anymore since my focus is on shooting weddings, it has been on my heart to give a deserving couple a free Wedding Experience package once a year, but I haven’t figured out all that will go into determining the lucky couple.  I’m still working on this idea and may put in into play in 2015.

– Saturday was the first Saturday in a while that I didn’t have to get up early and prepare to head to a wedding and it felt good.  I planned to sleep in but I actually woke just as early as I would during the work week.  So much for turning the alarm off!!

– I met with a couple and towards the end of our consultation they hired me as their wedding photographer!  I love when that happens!  2015 is shaping up to be another great year for weddings!  Welcome to The Wedding Experience Blake and Nikki!
