When a photographer friend tells me that I am going to be her wedding photographer, I feel an incredible amount of honor and excitement, but also a huge amount of fear because there is a totally different set of expectations when shooting for another photographer…or at least that’s what I thought. It was the complete opposite with Daniel and Tamesha! Tamesha and I met at a photography workshop a few years ago and remained in touch over the years. She specialized in children’s portraiture and I have been shooting weddings so I would send her referrals when families were looking for a photographer. When I found out Tamesha had met Daniel I was so excited for her. I saw her the day before their first date at a mutual friend’s Christmas party and as she talked about the guy she was preparing to meet, her excitement told me that this one was going to be different. And it was!
Fast forward to a beautiful August day in Washington, DC. Daniel and Tamesha were preparing to say “I Do” in front of a host of friends and family at the City Club of Washington. I worked with wedding planner Ivori Nicole Events and with Tamesha’s eye for detail, my heart was overjoyed! Their wedding was planned to perfection and one of the best surprises of the day was when Daniel serenaded Tamesha as she was preparing to descend the stairs with her father. Tamesha and many of the guests were brought to tears and rightfully so, it was amazing to witness!!!
Tamesha and Daniel, thank you for trusting me with this most special day!!! You two are amazing and I wish you a life of love and joy!
