Oliver and Jillian met about nine years ago, through friends of friends. Everyone got together at a bar to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but it wasn’t until about two and a half years ago that they started dating.  as luck would have it, the two connected and Oliver popped the question on a romantic trip to Mexico the day before their two year dating anniversary. On their wedding day, Jillian and Oliver are most looking forward sharing our love for one another with their closest family and friends!

For their engagement session, Oliver and Jillian wanted to enjoy the beautiful blooms of DC’s Cherry Blossom season!  For anyone that has ever been in DC during peak bloom, you know that it can get rather crowded in the area but it’s so worth it and definitely a sight that you should get to experience at least once!  Trust me! Well, in addition to the residents and tourists, Cherry Blossom season has become quite a popular time for me and engagement sessions and because peak bloom can be somewhat unpredictable, it takes some planning and flexibility….and waking up rather early to try and beat the crowds! For this reason, I can only shoot a limited number.  After Oliver and Jillian booked me for their wedding they jumped on the planning in order for us to make this work!  It’s awesome when clients also have ideas in mind of what they’re looking for when making their session unique!
