Jon and Heidi went to the same high school, but Heidi was 3 grades ahead of Jon, so she didn’t know him.  They later became acquainted and began dating.  They both have a love of video games so Jon decided to propose by bringing home a new game one evening and the ring was inside!  How sweet!  The couple wanted to profess their love in front of an intimate crowd because neither one wanted the pomp and circumstance of a really big wedding.  The setting for their nuptials was at Stevenson Ridge in Spotsylvania, VA.  The beautiful backdrop of fall colors fit perfectly on this brisk evening inside the property’s log cabin.  The fire place was crackling as Jon and Heidi decided to recite their own vows.  Here are a few images from their day.

Heidi has a background in horticulture so she has a love of orchids.  The bouquet was actually an orchid plant that was arranged by Pittman Florist in Locust Grove, VA.

Heidi carried family heirlooms from deceased family members.  It was clear that her grandmother, who passed a year ago, was truly missed on their wedding day.
