When I first met Tim and Brittany and heard the details of their wedding I was instantly excited! Tim shared his love of sneakers and how all of his groomsmen would be wearing them and I said “oh, like Chuck Taylor’s” and he laughed and said “no!”.  LOL…Once I realized I was dealing with a true sneakerhead, I was able to continue discussing the details of their day.  Their ceremony and reception would be taking place at Morais Vineyards, a venue that I have been dying to shoot at since I attended a bridal show there last year! I was elated when they reached out to me a few days later to let me know they had selected me as their wedding photographer.

On the morning of their wedding, we were met with cloudy skies and dreary rain, but that didn’t seem to damper the spirits of Brittany or Tim.  When I entered Brittany’s room, it was like a full on hair and make-up studio with the stylists working in what can be best described as an assembly line with each of the girls taking turns in the chairs. The girls laughed with Brittany and tried to make sure her needs were being met.  Brittany’s dad even stopped by the room a few times to chat, laugh and remind her of the importance of their day. When I went to the guys room, they were having typical guy talk and watching one of the college games. When Tim notified them that it was time to get dressed they jumped into action to ensure they were on schedule.

Tim and Brittany pulled no stops when it came to surprising each other with their wedding gifts to one another.  Tim surprised Brittany with a Kate Spade tote bag for their honeymoon.  Brittany opened it to find it filled with smaller bags of Kate Spade jewelry and I think every jaw in the room dropped.  Brittany also received a pair of her own custom Nike’s with their wedding date and her initials stitched into them.  Brittany surprised Tim with a box of goodies that included a DVR, so that Tim wouldn’t have to worry about missing any of his favorite teams play while they were out on date nights!  Awwwwww!

The couple decided to have a first look in the wine cellar at Morais and I can’t help to love these intimate moments where a couple gets a quiet moment together before the busyness of the day gets started.

The rain stopped just in time to allow for an outdoor ceremony and the sun peeked out for a few minutes as the processional began!  I was truly touched by the emotion shown by each family as they’ve waited for this day and to make it even better, Brittany’s brother- Jeremy- was granted leave from Japan to participate in their day.

The reception was a party for the ages complete with awesome food from Main Event Caterers, dancing, photo booth fun, and more dancing! Oh and make sure you check out Benny’s ups during the garter toss!  LOL

Tim and Brittany, I am so excited for you two and wish you many, many years of wedded bliss! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day!
