Weekend Wrap-Up

Well, I am one week away from the end of my 2014 wedding season and it has been nothing short of amazing!  My last two brides are the some of the sweetest people I know, so I plan to rock out their wedding photos just like all of the others I’ve done this year.  I’ve learned a lot this year- some great things and some things that I will do everything in my power not to repeat, so I’m truly motivated as I am meeting with potential 2015 brides.  Here is a quick recap of this past weekends events:

– I second shot a wedding with Evelyn Alas at the Fort Meyers Officer’s Club in Arlington, VA and it was nothing short of amazing.  The bride’s attention to detail is to be admired as she knew what she wanted and her bridesmaids were there every step of the way to make sure she had the perfect day!  I love working with Evelyn because she is so sweet and laid back but an amazing photographer and I always leave her having learned something new!  Below are a few of my images from their day.

– I finally met the talented Abbey Domond while she was visiting Virginia to shoot a wedding.  Her and her hubby, Ralph, had never been to Cracker Barrel, so I think I may have overwhelmed them with the experience because they were totally confused with the store in front of the restaurant!  Never the less these northerners seemed satisfied, but neither one ate the grits that came with their meal!  LOL…I guess some foods will always be a Southern tradition!!!

– Oh, and how about that time change….yeah, someone forgot to tell Bentley that we get an extra hour of sleep! Speaking of Bentley, he was a little groom for Halloween and although I don’t actively celebrate the day, I think seeing the kids (and pets) dressed up in the name of having fun is the cutest thing ever!

Note: iPhone photos of myself with Abbey and Bentley as a handsome little groom.

– Lastly, who the heck turned the heat OFF!!!  It’s freaking cold and windy here!  I mean, I get that the seasons change every year at the same time but it’s always a reality check to turn on the heat for the first time and to pull out a coat.  Oh and I think the past couple of windy days will ruin what was left of the Fall colors on the trees.  I hoped the leaves would last one more week for my final two weddings.
