Earlier this year I entered a few of my photos into the annual Shoot & Share contest. I know the attachment that I have to my images, so my goal was to see which ones resonated with others in an anonymous voting contest. For this free contest, we could enter up to 40 images and there were about 12 rounds of voting. Of the over 110,000 photos submitted, here’s how come of my best photos ranked. It’s humbling and helpful to my journey as a photographer and since I am always looking for ways to improve, I plan to study some of the top images to see what characteristics made them winning photos.
