Hello friends!!! Happy Monday! It’s always interesting when I sit in front of the computer to start a Weekend Wrap-Up because I sometimes never know what I am going to write about. In all honesty, I struggle with being too open about my life and I’m not 100% why, I just blame it on my thinking that no one really cares what I have to write about. But at any rate, I have decided that anything that I write on my blog will be just for me and if someone secretly wishes they were a fly on the wall, this would be the portion of my life that they are able to see! I can’t wait to look back a year from now to see what ramblings I had going on. At any rate, here is a peek at my weekend:
– My Friday evening was date night with the gym, I have been a member of my gym for about 2 years now, but I took some time away to do group training with my friends so now I look like a New Year’s resolution member! Man, that place has been packed…not so much on Friday so it was lovely. I realized that I don’t really care to hear people complain about the gym newbies because we were all new at one point and if that’s their resolution then more power to them! I liken it to being a new photographer and how many times I failed before coming into my own with my style. So cheers to the newbies, a toast to you for wanting to start the new year off right!
– I finally completed and ordered my Terri Baskin Photography Bridal Guide!!!!!! It’s officially on a FedEx truck and headed to my house. Friends, when I tell you this has been a task, I am not kidding. I can’t tell you the number of times I tried to complete it and had to walk away because it was just too time consuming. So, to fix that problem I finally broke down and purchased a template from Katelyn James. OMG, this has been a life saver. I mean I still had to populate the magazine with my content and photos but this guide totally took the guesswork out of the page layout and alignment that I struggled with! While I wish I had it for my 2014 brides and my first 2015 bride, I am happy to say that my 2015 brides and beyond will be receiving their copy soon!
– Totally unrelated to photography, but I am so thankful for the supportive people that God has placed into my life. Currently, my biggest supporter and cheerleader is Ray, and I couldn’t have completed my Bridal Guide without him pouring encouraging thoughts into my ability to focus and get it done!
I am excited to share more of the Bridal Guide in its own post after it arrives. Until then I’ll leave you with a photo from Vernon and Catra’s wedding! More of them coming soon!
RAWR!!!
