April 1st began a series that will allow me to be transparent about the people that have influenced my personal and professional growth. When I look at where I have achieved success, I can honestly say that I never did it alone. There was always someone there that believed in me, motivated me, encouraged me, or pushed me to continue. This series is dedicated to those people!

DAY 18: MY PAST & PRESENT CLIENTS

As I wrap us Watermarks on My Soul, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to anyone that has taken time to read these blog posts.  It warms my heart that this journey that I began officially not too many years ago has allowed me to meet so many awesome people that were once called clients and now they are friends.  I love following some of you on social media (but not in a stalker-like way) and I love seeing my couples’ families grow.  I have been honored to capture so many firsts- first kisses, first pregnancy, first baby, etc. and these are some of life’s most important moments that were placed in my hands.  So, Day 20 is dedicated to anyone that has stepped foot in front of my camera!

None of this exists without the many people that have called and emailed me over the years for a photo session or engagement photos or wedding day coverage!  I am lucky that over half of my business comes from referrals and I spend very little money on advertising. When I think about what I provide for my client experience it simply comes down to providing the things that I would look for and expect if I were a client reaching out to another photographer for photos.  I think by providing what I would want as well as understanding that life happens and schedules change and not making it difficult for clients to work with me has also helped me see repeat clients and client referrals.

So, to anyone that I’ve worked with in the past or anyone that I will work with in the future, I say thank you!  Thank you so stepping into my life and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life.  Thank you for allowing me to be silly, for asking you to do not so common things in order to get a natural expression and thank you for telling your friends about me!
